Fox Remote Link previously known as FoxLink, is the field Integration Fox uses to reliably match and link the same record across two connected platforms — for example, connecting a HubSpot Company to its corresponding MYOB Acumatica Customer. It's usually visible on the record in your platform, but its value should be treated as exclusively owned and maintained by Integration Fox — not something your team or another integration should ever need to set or edit.

Do I need to manage this field myself?

No — and you shouldn't. Integration Fox handles it automatically:

- If the field is blank, the platform fills it in with the record's Primary Key value before the record is used elsewhere.

- If the field already has a value, the platform never overwrites it — whatever is there is always respected.

Because Fox never overwrites an existing value, this field should be left alone by anyone other than Integration Fox. If a user or another integration manually edits or clears it, Fox will only "fix" a truly blank value (by refilling it) — it won't detect or correct an incorrect but non-blank value that something else wrote. Treating this field as read-only outside of Integration Fox is what keeps matching reliable.

FAQ: I noticed this field (or a related reference ID) is blank or looks wrong on a record — does that put Sales Order creation, invoicing, or record matching at risk?

It depends on how it got that way:

- Blank because it was never set — no risk. Integration Fox auto-fills it before the record is used, so this resolves itself.

- Blank or incorrect because something other than Integration Fox wrote to it (a manual edit, an import, another integration) — this is the case that can actually break matching, since Fox won't overwrite whatever value it finds there.
